here is an exerpt from my first story, based on serenity and mukidz
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The assassin slowly sipped his drink, for the umpteenth time that day, he scanned the courtyard. Elves compared bows, knights proudly displayed their armor, and wizards shared their spell techniques. All travelers joked, laughed, and traded items they found in their journey. But none looked like his target. Flipping another zen on the table, he stood to leave. Devias might be the next sensible place. Recalling the words to warp him to Devias, there was a flash of light from his left. A blade knight, dressed in black armor crafted in the shape of a dragon. The assassin’s heart caught. The description looked like this knight in front of him. The knight glanced around, and strolled over to another knight, dressed in the purple armor of the dark phoenix, and began chatting. The knight took off his helm, running his hand through his golden blonde hair. The assassin’s gray eyes saw the shoulder-badge of serenity. He smiled grimly. This was definitely his target. Drawing his kris, he stowed it in a leather thong cunningly hidden inside his sleeve. With a flick of his wrist, it would slash outward, and then land conveniently into his hand. An easy kill for any left standing after the first attack. He slowly walked across, chanting the words to activate the vampiric powers of his kris. Two soul masters, hearing words of magic, looked up alarmingly. They immediately proded his thoughts, trying to interpret his actions. He threw up a soul barrier, and quickened his pace. His target in sight, he lunged forward, intending to slice the jugular. There was a flash of light, and his kris sank into a gaurdina angel. Damn! Doesn’t anyone use imps anymore!? He thought frantically, drawing his rapier, whirling backward. But they paled in comparison to the knights’ weapons, who wielded two destruction blades expertly. He then twisted sharply, blades cutting quickly, much too quickly. The killer barely crossed his blades to deflect the attack. He now had every wizard and soul master on him, invading his mind. Frantically throwning himself into the depth of his magic, he knew it was too late. While the blades sank into his flesh, he cast his last spell. A comet smashed into the knight’s body, and then the magic drained his strength, his power, and his soul. Try as he might, he couldn’t escape. The magic passed his soul into an empty void…..
